We are a newly registered charity in England and Wales, incorporated in September 2020. We provide practical information through our website and peer support (delivered online) for people living with and affected by HIV across the UK. We are looking for a Treasurer to join our Board of Trustees to lead and oversee the financial affairs of our charity, ensuring all legal, constitutional, and accepted accounting practices are in place and met.

We are committed to expanding the diversity and representation of all communities to our board of trustees. We welcome applications from individuals from under-represented individuals particularly from black, brown, and other racially diverse communities, trans men, trans women, non-binary individuals, and heterosexual men.

Recruitment Timetable

Tuesday 4th January 2022 - final date for receipt of completed applications
Monday 10th January 2022 - all candidates will be contacted following shortlisting process
Wednesday 12th to 19th January 2022 - individual interviews take place
Wednesday 26th January 2022 - Treasurer appointment confirmed

The successful candidate will be invited to our Board of Trustees meeting in late January, the date of which is yet to be confirmed.

The successful candidate will be appointed for an initial term of 3 years with the opportunity to seek re-appointment for a further 2 terms. This is a voluntary role, but trustees are entitled to claim reasonable expenses such as travel costs.

This is a really exciting time to join our charity as we move into a new phase of development and growth. The role would suit individuals who have a ‘hands-on’ approach, can devote the necessary time, energy and enjoy a rewarding challenge.
